Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Evil Thingy was named Evil for his cunning evil, although it isn't evil enough to be more than mischief, thus earning only the name Evil with a non-threatening Thingy at the end. He has a hatred for any who try to order him around and he will not stand around to do the work that is forced upon him; he has a need to be in charge. As a hatchling, he maliciously tricked the others into doing bad things, such as breaking eggs, in order to ensure that no reputation could be better than his. Eventually, he went crazy after being wounded in his head during a scuffle with another black dragon, and he was no longer truly evil.
