Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Xerimalen, to her mate's chagrin, has done nothing to dispel the rumors that have sprung up around him, and has even started a few of her own.  She grew up as just one magi among many, possessing no extraordinary talent or exceptional magical ability, and isn't about to miss her chance to be linked with something extraordinary, even though the tales aren't true.  Even though Xerimalen has caused Bronze Enigma a fair number of headaches over the years, she's also devoted a fair amount of energy into making his weyr into, if not the wondrous place described in the stories, a place they can both be proud to call home.
