Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He, like many of his other Flamingo relatives, is named after a distinct shade of pink: shocking pink. But his name also refers to his uniquely bombastic personality. Shocking has a habit of saying whatever comes to his mind, which could be literally anything. He has a very active imagination, with his thoughts ranging from creatively absurd to actively paranoid. As such, he typically shouts very inappropriate things in the moment, usually when he's tense or stressed. It is believed Shocking may have a variation of terets, but no one can confirm this. In any case, Shocking is quite the wild card. He is generally friendly, if just non-aggressive. He doesn't like getting fights or dirtying his talons and will typically flee confrontation when it occurs. He is imaginative, though his stress-induced paranoia tends to fill his head more consistently. He fears the size of his family and the stresses of fitting in. He hates how he stands out and just wants to stay in the background.
