Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Lucidant loves to spin daydreams for people, but he is not trying to harm them. Though few other dragons know it, Lucidant loves the arts. He is often inspiring authors and poets, sometimes artists and musicians. The brainchildren of Luciant and the artisans are often abstract works, and the literature ranges from pure nightmare fuel to philosophic insights to works of original fantasy. The music is very strange, with a pounding beat and a haunting melody, and though other dragons love the music most humans do not care for it. Often called the 'Muse Dragon', Lucidant has kept close by the villages for years. Lucidant has a very hard time focusing on his daydreams, and people can only stay in them for a few hours before he tires out. The villagers know not to interrupt a whimsical artist, for snapping them out of their state might cause Lucidant to blunder and lose the inspiration. People of the arts set offerings out for him, thanking him for the visions and asking him to stay longer.
