Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Star Royal, often called Star, is the mate of Seasonal dragon Equinox Dance. As a Royal Blue dragon and one of the few bonded pairs within the herd, he is considered to be a dragon of noble class, and this is respected. He is a stern but kind dragon with a fierce love for his children, and he holds a special fondness for his daughter Royal Equinox. He, unlike his mate, has accepted his daughter's choice of mate, and the two have a close relationship. Star can often be seen gliding along the sky during the nighttime, something he loves to do.
