Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
While watching her sisters grow up in hazardous situations, Safeguard swore to protect them with her large shield-like growth at the end of her tail. She's very pacifistic and doesn't enjoy hurting others or seeing others get hurt; it hurts her on the inside, as if she were going through the same pain they were. To aid in her protection, she developed great agility so that she could rush to her family's aid very swiftly. After a few years, she finally decided to leave the nest and explore the world a bit, only to find a barricade of destruction and death and pain everywhere, hence she promised herself to not allow her beloved family to fall under this curse. As new eggs came to the family, she took her duty in guarding the nest from these outside threats, watching the new members of the family grow up in the safety of her sight.
