Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Prone to long hibernations Topaza has slept most of her life away deep within her underground lair. Topaza has an affinity for the earth and loves nothing better than the feeling of solid rock beneath her talons. Her impenetrable hide is ornamented with dazzling sapphire crystals that are magnificent to behold. These crystals are not only for decoration but give Topaza extra armor plating on her more vulnerable stomach and neck. While Topaza is content with slumbering the hours away the other creatures of the dark catacombs beneath the earth's crust or not and while she rarely if ever seeks a fight Topaza has been challenged enough to make a seasoned warrior. Recently assaults on her territory have become more and more frequent and when not repelling intruders Topaza cannot help but wonder why.
