Swallowtail Dragons are graceful and quick flyers, much like their namesake bird. They are capable of precise aerial acrobatics, and can reach very high altitudes. Because of this, humans observing these dragons are often astonished at how large they are when confronted up close. A Swallowtail’s diet consists of insects and small mammals plentiful in temperate forests. These dragons are also made remarkable by their paper-thin wing membranes, which allow light to pass through, creating an astonishing effect on starry nights.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Torio Nuria has a sad but interesting history. Thirty-four Nakusa, a Golden Wyvern who happened to be the son of Pazia Nuria and Zahavah Nuria, wooed Celadonia Nuria into being his mate. Celadonia was an innocent little Swallowtail dragon, very peaceful and quiet. When she found that someone loved her, or at least said they did, she was immediately swept away. No matter how Thirty-four was shunned, no matter even that he was a Nakusa, Celadonia loved him. She became his mate, and one day laid an egg. Thirty-four was forbidden to go on the mountain of Elgar, but he would often come at night to be with her. One night, Celadonia proudly showed her husband their egg. Thirty-four was horrified, and refused to admit it was his or even that he was her mate. He flew away to the mountain of the Nakusas, never to return. Poor Celadonia was heartbroken, and shed many tears over her son. Little Torio was often shunned because of his father, but he vowed to get revenge on this act, alive or dead.
