Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dirreu is, at best, a quiet and unobtrusive dragon. However, he's known to turn vicious at the slightest provocation, and be prone to fierce anger for no explainable reason. He doesn't even know why he was so angry afterwards. This is made worse by the fact that he is fairly powerful, both physically and in terms of his magic abilities. He's well aware of these tendencies, so he prefers to be alone, only taking as company those who he knows can handle him if he turns on them.
