Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows with some form of arcane energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Orange Baby will never grow up.

All the dragons in Clan Svataben are happy about it. Orange Baby is so cute (almost to the point of being puppykitten-cute) it would be a crime to let this adorableness grow up.

So Orange Baby spends every day going about the cave, charming everyone, playing with the other hatchlings, and generally getting spoiled.
