Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads and seems very inquisitive.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

More curious than a box full of kittens, this hatchling gets into anything and everything... so long as both heads can agree to search the same thing. Constantly squabbling over what to pry into next, the two heads often make furious attempts to go in opposite directions, resulting in a lack of movement in any direction and most frustrated wailing. Thankfully their parents are never far off, always quick to console their child, and patiently waiting for the day when both their little heads will work together.
