Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jinglee loves the sound of bells, and collects them. The largest bell she has came from a cathedral high in the mountains. She used to enjoy its daily tolls, until the day an avalanche destroyed the cathedral. Jinglee saw the snow cascading and strove to rescue as many of the cathedral monks as she could. In return for her help, the monks gifted her with the great bell.

The smallest bell Jinglee has came from a tiny fairy that the dragon saved from torture by a troll. When rung, it summons all songbirds within a kilometer radius to assist the bellringer.

Jinglee's favorite bell came from an old metalworker she helped. She put his overturned wagon upright and assisted with reloading it. He was so grateful, he gave her a brass bell beautifully etched with dragons dancing in the air and a tone that uplifts the heart of all who hear it. Jinglee wears it on a fine chain around her neck.
