Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Guardian of The Iris fits the generic description of a Guardian Dragon quite well.  He is very protective of his charges, rarely letting them out of his sight.  If he feels that they are threatened, he will attack the offender, for his charges are extremely susceptible to attack by aphids.  This dragon is extremely eccentric.  He loves his flowers, called "His Charges" by other dragons.  This teasing never seems to bother him, however, and it is a matter of some debate among the others as to whether or not he truly considers them to be his charges.

If Guardian of The Iris finds a single aphid on his precious irises, he will pick it off and painstakingly check the leaves of every other iris to rid them of the "little menaces".  Unbeknownst to him, a certain pygmy, known by many as Skyle, enjoys gathering aphids and dropping them off on his irises, then hiding and watching his response.  He will often panic, and woe be to the next herbivore to come his way looking for a bite of iris.
