Glystere Wyrms spend most of the year deep in arctic seas. As winter approaches, these dragons will emerge from beneath the ice to congregate midair in search of a mate, where the glitter of mana crystals down their bodies can be seen as they fly across the night sky. Glystere Wyrms are known to take a respite from flying by looping around trees, over homes, or across high-hanging cliff edges while entwined with others of their kind. The colorful light of their mana crystals and the icicles formed down their undersides often leads them to be mistaken for festive decor when at rest. Traveling with friends and families to find the most brilliant display of these wyrms has become a steadfast tradition during the holiday season.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Easily the most festive Jingle Lad, Dec takes great pride in his glowing mana crystals and is constantly guard to make sure they look dazzling at all times. Despite this smidgen of vanity, he is a very kind and giving dragon. He speaks in a bold, open voice and loves singing carols with the rest of the lads. He happens to take on Sno's view of their job, which is to gather naughty dragons and sacrifice them to a beast that threatens their home town. Like Sno, Dec doesn't necessarily agree with this on an ethical level, but also doesn't want to disturb a system that has protected their home for so long. He doesn't exactly think for himself, but rather goes along with whatever authority figure he can find's motives. In this way, Dec is pretty shallow, he never speaks out or offers any new ideas, he just goes right along with whatever his leader, Doe, decides. During the nights when the lads arrive to take sacrifices, you can see his crystals shining. It's another tell, next to singing.
