Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Blood is the only female warrior in Luna Bell's herd but, she is stronger than the four strongest male warriors. She trained under the greatest fighter the herd had ever seen, Knight of Justice who has since left the herd and changed his name. Blood spends most of her time training to be more like her master. She has very little time to spend with her mate DyingFlame or their children. She tends to stay away from most of the rest of the herd. She's a very shy dragon who's not very good at communicating with others. The one thing she wants to do is to meet her old master again and show him how much she has improved.
