White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Alaunus was named for a god of healing, sun, and prophecy when he grew into a fine male white. He has lived up this name, bringing sunshine in the form of his cheerful personality, healing wounds of both spirit and body—and with the rare gift of prophecy in dreams, warning the lair of danger. Ignored by both Arron and Fatin, he does not playing in the political maneuverings of the lair, but instead helps Akoko keep the newest members safe from Arron's posturing and Fatin's manipulations.
