Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pazia Nuria was always a scoundrel. When the human Ember Nuria found his egg, shimmering like gold, she knew at once that something was different.  Ember took the egg home but not without her suspicions. She put it on the table and stared at it. It shimmered. Sighing, Ember went outside to check on the three hatchlings she had been raising. When she returned, the egg was gone. Panicking, Ember began searching everywhere. She soon found it on the highest shelf, wobbling unsteadily. This continued for most of the day, Ember chasing the egg as it flew around, looking for it when it vanished before her eyes, and generally keeping busy. Soon Ember grew sick of this. She placed the egg back outside and walked away. But the stubborn egg reappeared in her hand.

When Pazia hatched, despite the trouble he caused with his magic, he was a loyal friend. Pazia even helped Ember raise Kamiko and Lantana. Pazia still lives with Ember in the highest mountain of Elgar, enjoying his magic to the fullest.
