Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Night of The Fanged is the leader of the notorious Black Dragon Clan. Many of the clan members say that their actual leader is yet to come, as when it is born, he or she will bare different bones and scales, as clearly stated by the prophecy. BUT until such "alternative" creature is conceived, Night of The Fanged will remain the unofficial ruler. This would completely harmless in retrospect, if only Night of The Fanged was a decent king. Alas, this dragon is a tyrant, demanding large amounts of gold from smaller tribes and has struck a secret alliance with the hated Vampire clan. There have been many attempts at this dragon's life, often hired assassins from the pygmy family, but all have failed. Only the dragon as stated from the prophecy will be able to claim the title as leader for the Black dragons, and ultimately end Night of The Fanged.
