Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very light and enjoys bouncing all around.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

BalloonHeart is a darling Balloon Dragon hatchling. She loves her adopted parents, MalachiteDancer and QuickDrake. She and QuickDrake were fast friends, as soon as he saw her he ran right up to greet her. And she loves him to death. It took her a few years to become close with MalachiteDancer, but they now love each other very much. BalloonHeart can sometimes be seen flying with and around her parents. But most of the time she dances with her best friend, the Frilled hachling FrilledDancer. Her favorite day of the year is the first day of Autumn, because both of their families put on a giant show for the whole cave, along with some other dancing dragons.
