Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Not much is known about this elusive Black Dragon. She is barely seen, usually only coming out in the dead of night to feed and spread her wings.

Phaedras just appeared on Dragon Isle one day. Kelasia welcomed her, and that was that. No one sees much of the meek dragon anymore, just glimpses of her when she decides to emerge from her cavern; she lives in the farthest reaches of the deep labyrinths, where there is absolutely no sunlight and where it is silent. She only comes out when she needs to stretch her wings or to eat.

The only things that is known about her is her affinity for bats. She hangs upside-down when she sleeps, and uses echolocation to navigate in the darkness.
