Shimmer-scale Dragons are a very beautiful breed with small—but highly reflective—scales that shimmer and shine as the dragon moves through water. They don’t have fins or webbed feet, but their long, eel-like bodies allow them to swim quite fast. They were once rumored to carry large pearls in their claws—causing many to seek them out in search of this fabulous treasure. In reality, the “pearl” is of greater value to the dragon, for the fabled treasure is actually an egg carried by a migrating female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Farewell is a token of friendship, a sign of trust, and, perhaps most importantly, a memory of an inspiring woman by the name of Lady Gist. Gist, who raised Farewell's father, was famous for her friendly attitude and love of helping others. Not long after Farewell's birth, Gist announced she would be departing on a journey she may never return from. The news spread through the land like wildfire, until all knew they may never see her again. Particularly grief-stricken was one of Lady Gist's close friends, a knight by the name of Sir PieMaster. After seeing his sadness, she chose to place her new egg in his care, knowing it would serve as not only a memory of herself, but as a reminder to Pie of all she had lived for and the good times they had shared. Farewell, who grew from that egg, has grown to be a lot like Gist was--selfless and warm-hearted. Now one of Sir Pie's most faithful guardians, he carefully clutches to the memory of Lady Gist, the friend he had known as a fledgling.
