Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has wings—but no hind legs—and it enjoys flying by the ocean.

And look! It has grown another set of wings. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

"I AM female!" LexyInvincible can often be heard saying. "Yes I am, and I don't care what you think!" This fiery hatchling is really quite indignant when other dragons point out the fact that 'she' is a boy. However, Lexy remains convinced that she is a girl, despite constant reminding. Her name is certainly feminine, though, as is her personality—mostly. Lexy can best be described as a tomboy, which is ironic because she is really an actual boy. She firmly insists she is female, though she tends to socialize with the male hatchlings and has a spunky and adventurous personality that fits their activities more than the females, whom she doesn't really like. Lexy, at times, can be very fiery and dominant, but she is really a very kind and caring hatchling. She can often be seen playing with the younger hatchlings, and she's often one of the first to make friends with newly hatched babies. Often, the hatchlings look up to her as a leader of sorts, and Lexy enjoys this role very much.
