Avatars of Destruction possess a volatile disposition. They thrive on chaos and decay, and their horns and plated scales are as hard as forged metal. Because of their affinity with darkness and the destructive forces of nature, it was once thought that these dragons were omens of ill fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Infernalflame was born deep in the shadowed caverns beneath an ancient volcano, long extinct. Firstborn of a clutch of three, she dominated her siblings and soon grew larger than even her brother, Gruinfang. Known as Inferna by those she considers worthy, she quickly overthrew the current leader of their clan, Rapierwing, before she truly reached her full size, and bent those dragons beneath her to her will, recreating the clan into her own, the Coronach, a clan that increased in power with each passing year as Inferna grew older and her skills and magic grew more powerful.

Inferna's temper is incredibly volatile, and she is truly terrifying when in a rage, cruel and without mercy to her enemies. To those that she considers allies, though, she is loyal to the death, or until she believes that they have betrayed her trust. Her plated armor goes beyond just her hide, her heart shielded by a barrier that few can break through, and she gives the honor of being her true friend to few.
