Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"Demon's Wish", son of "Spawn of the Underworld" (an evil voodoo dragon who dreams of world domination) is a proud warrior, and the very kind of son his mother wanted. His original parents before he had been bitten, two vine-dragons, try to avoid him even more then everyone else in the herd--though he has no idea why, as his Vampire mother makes sure he never finds out who his true parents are. They both make an evil team, living in a creepy cave full of the skeletons of their unlucky victims. Though no one else in the pack knows it, they sneak out on every full moon to a secret meeting with other vampire dragons, where they discuss plans on Vampire Bloodsucking raids on human villages--though the youngest, Demon's Wish is smart and is often the leader of those raids.
