Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Geralt comes from deep in snowy mountains of eastern Europe. A very skilled fighter he had fought many battles with some of the elite Dragon fighters of the icy regions of northern Russia. Wounded badly in one particular battle against a clan of earth dragons, Geralt left for warmer climes to heal himself. While enjoying the Italian countryside, he stumbled upon the KT Clan lead by two powerful Guardian dragons and decided to take their offer to relocate and serve them. He has been happy ever since and is good friends with Azreal, one of the Black dragon commanders. When not needed to defend the cave in battle, the two often enjoy swapping war stories.
