Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Raised near an ancient temple among a group of many Air-aligned breeds, this Skywing's years as a youngster were quite happy and peaceful. However that all changed when his parents were killed by human hunters and the colony was forced to relocate. His only friend during this time was a fellow Skywing who stayed by his side and helped him move on from his grief. The two of them dreamed of being together forever, until her life was cut short by a rouge Falconiform. Filled with pain and rage, he left seeking the ones who took his loved ones away and vowed to destroy them. During a particularly dark time he realized the error of his ways and happened to meet the dragons who would soon become his best friends, a blind Hellfire (whom he later fell in love with and the pair chose to be mates), two Two-Finned Blunas (a beautiful-yet-tough female and a laid-back male), a friendly Green, and a mischevious Frill. The six of them travel around Valkemare with a mission to help others.
