Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Surprisingly humble for one of his breed (a trait which others muse a mixed ancestry is to thank for), this dragon--who often goes by the nickname of "Orca"--prefers to pride himself on things he's achieved through hard labor, like his physical strength, rather than on characteristics he was simply born with. This same honest personality has enabled him to make no shortage of friends, and there are two--Balmung and Kite--to whom he is exceptionally close.

Which made sense, of course; one didn't so recklessly risk their lives for half-known companions.

The truth of what had happened to Orca--who fell abruptly into a coma after meeting a strange white dragon within the magical game known as "The World"--was not immediately known to Kite, who was there at the time, and was even less known to Balmung. But as the two raced to find the secrets behind their friend's tragedy--and a way to bring him back--they began to realize that The World was far more than a simple game...
