Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Alaeron is a member of the legendary Dorkface Clan.  He is a Skywing dragon, with White and Gold ancestors.  The Skywing in him is the most obvious of course, which is distinguished by his physical appearance.  The White in him causes him to be very neat and tidy.  He always makes sure he looks his best, and that there's not a smudge of dirt on any of his scales.  The Gold in his blood has given him great defensive skills that come in handy when in a confrontation.  He is an avid flyer, zooming about and dipping low to catch food while still in mid-flight.  He does not have a mate, and he is in no hurry to find one.  He says the sky is his mate because that is where he spends most of his days.
