Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very affectionate.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling once saw a loved one collapse unresponsive. She begged him to wake up, then started jumping on him repeatedly to get him to rouse. It worked after a few minutes, resuscitating him. Now she uses that same approach on anything she sees that collapses.

Other dragons usually respond at the first jump, insisting she get off them. Small woodland animals tend to get crushed, often becoming her already-tenderized lunch when she tires of jumping. Trees either hold straight or bend until they break. Old buildings get demolished.

Reesusianne does not mind that most things do not respond well to her ministrations. She knows that if she can save even one life, all her practice up to then is worth it.
