Electric Dragons wield electricity with great prowess. Bright sparks race across these dragons’ bodies in a dazzling dance of light, complemented by the blindingly radiant sparks on their tails. Using their bellies and manes as stores for this electrical energy, Electric Dragons wield crackling magic, stunning and electrocuting their prey with a whip of their tail. During mating season it is typically those with the most brilliant sparks—an indicator of strength and hunting ability—that are drawn to each other.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Torie is a very playful dragon. As a hatchling, he and his best friend Kaywee loved to play "catch that dragon!". Today they still spend most of their time together. Kaywee likes him because he's a very unusual electric dragon: He is very nice and friendly, and he's always up for something completely unexpected and kind. The hatchlings treat Torie as one of their own. Like a brother, Torie plays with them, helping them and himself to pass another day, but he also protects them from danger and helps them understand that power is not as important as courage and confidence. He got the habit of protecting someone by Kaywee. They were never in love as hatchlings, n'or are they now, but when they were young he felt a need to always stand up for her and watch over her. That's why they are very good friends, and a very good example that old times and friends cannot be forgotten.
