Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Silver Marvel is a kind and generous dragon and does his best to help look after the family. Although he is no genius, he is still brighter then the average dragon and he enjoys talking with the more intellectual members of his family, such as Myrn and Shyloh. The only dragons who he does not get on well with are Mamon and Shokun.

He has argued long and hard with Whyte, the family leader, about allowing the two bloodthirsty vampire dragons to live with them and begs him to cast them out, but Whyte simply states that they must obey the wishes of the human girl who brought them to the territory and introduced them to the family she had helped build.
