Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A decade has passed since the Shadow Clan has felt the warm rays of the sun. The Gleaming Clan had forced them into the depths of the caves to never to return to the surface. Pythius, the leader of the Shadow Clan, fought many times with the enemy clan, trying to regain the freedom for his clan. But that wasn't the only reason why he wanted to get to the surface. He fought to see his mate, Silvist. They had captured her and imprisoned her. As the years passed in the dark, cold cave, Pythius was starting to get worried. He knew that his clan wouldn't last much longer in these conditions. The cave was tiny after all as it could barely house 10 full-grown dragons. The Shadow Clan had only 14 members left including him. Most of them were on their last years. He knew that they wouldn't do well if they tried to stand up to the enemy clan. He knew that Ehecatl, King of the Gleaming Clan, plan was to wipe out the entire Shadow Clan and would stop at nothing. But Pythius still had hope.
