Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

There are few things vampires loathe more than the sun, and so it is only natural that they hate those who love it as well. Sunsong dragons--those cheery, witless creatures who always go winging about in it--are especially hated, and thus it was that one particularly large coven decided to rid their territory of them. Simply murdering the adults in their sleep was a bit too mundane for their tastes, and so instead they took an egg hostage. Preening themselves and boasting loudly of their plans--to convert the egg to one of their own tomorrow night, before the horrified eyes of all the sunsongs--they failed to notice a tiny pygmy dragon listening in, who then snatched the egg from under their noses and delivered it safely home!  Laurentiu is that very sunsong--a noble and gentle creature, and a great friend to pygmies--and, in a fitting twist of fate, he grew up to drive out the very same coven that had hoped to steal his life, ensuring the sun would always shine over his kin.
