Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Her name literally means Stone Child.  Despite her name and appearance, however, Ishiko is extremely warn and affectionate to those that she cares about and cares for.  Due to this she is an excellent mother, and has raised many a dragon child.  Fiercely maternal, Ishiko will care for hers and her mates whether they like it or not!  While many of her children have been sent out into the world, often over her protests, Ishiko was quite proud to welcome a new child (permanently) to her family recently, a youngling named Viir.  While Viir is (apparently) all grown up now, Ishiko seems less than willing to give up her role as parent.  As Viir frequently mutters, it may be the ones that escaped to find new owners that were the fortunate ones.
