Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lady B's Rock of Ages is one of the rare dragons that actually likes to be with humans. She was found as a hatchling by a loving family, who took her in and protected her throughout her childhood.  Rock's "family" is actually an an entire hamlet. Although humans do not live very long, Rock found herself in a "family" that just keeps passing her care from elder to younger, generation after generation.

Being a Stone Dragon means that she eats stone, so to help her humans, Rock eats the stone to their specifications, leaving behind wonderful stone houses. She does not like to move very much, and with this arrangement, the only time she has to move is when she is ready to "eat" another home or castle.  Her human family have a great love for her. Outsiders think she is a stone sculpture, built by their ancestors, thus protecting her from the neighboring towns.  Her body is made of stone, but her heart is not. Rock has a great love for her humans, but wishes for other dragon company.
