Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Wyffed does everything fast. Despite being younger than any of them, he hatched before any of his nestmates, grew his wings before any of them, and was the first one to reach adulthood. Despite being large for a Whiptail, Wyffed has remained one of the fastest in his peer group. This is achieved through his great determination. If Wyffed loses a race, he will spend days racing through canyons at speeds that would kill any being, even a dragon, on impact, just to hone his skills to prevent another loss. The determined dragon hasn't crashed once. His determination only goes so far, though: Since he he hatched, he has yet to once sit still!
