Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Giarlith grew up near the forest edge. Due to a lack of wings, she grew a habit of climbing trees instead. Her favorite spot to do so was at the edge of a meadow with a large boulder at the center. The tree bark there was hard enough not to give in to her weight, but soft enough to let her claws sink in, and she loved it.

One day, as she was grazing atop the trees there, Giarlith saw for the first time a dragon of a different species. It was a male Neotropical Dragon and was sleeping on the boulder in the meadow. Startled, Giarlith fell embarrassingly out of the tree, waking up the other dragon. He approached first once awake, and his playfulness eased whatever initial hostility Giarlith had. After getting nudged curiously by him, Giarlith decided to ask for an introduction.

His name was Xyrilun, and they got along immediately. Xyrilun would look for odd adventures, and Giarlith would figure out how to get out of trouble if they got into it. They became close friends for life.
