Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s rather plain looking, though.

And look! It has grown wings, and bright markings have developed all over its body.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Lovingly referred to as Wabisco Sauce, or sometimes Wabisco World by the caretaker, no one was really sure why Wabisco was chosen as this little hatchling's name. Now that she is older, her father Urrjad'Y explained, "Wabisco is not a name claiming beauty or grace or strength. Wabisco is not a name of cowardice or weakness. Wabisco is a name of potential." He later joked that it was a 'name of potential' because the name didn't really mean anything. However he is sure she has the potential to make it mean anything she wants.
