Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Goldeneyes is somewhat hot-headed when she doesn't get her way or if she loses her prey, but other than that, she is rather calm and collected. She loves to hunt larger game such as sheep, but it can be troublesome when nearby farmers come to her tamer with angry questions as to why the 'great lizard,' as they called her, was set free to devour their livestock. Her tamer made a deal with one of the farmers to supply valuable gems that could be sold in market in exchange for a few sheep every few weeks or so.
