Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Freddie is a member of the Moonsilver Artists' Association. She is very, very popular with the audiences, her vocal range and her performances legendary and without equal. None of her fans care the least bit about her slightly weird teeth or her wild, constantly changing mating habits, and they adoringly call her their "Queen".

While Freddie adores her audience and can lead them like few others, she keeps her off-stage persona mostly to herself, and only a few of her fellow musicians know about her composing talents, her secret insecurities, and her passionate, tragic relationship to another dragoness that broke up because Freddie couldn't stay faithful to the love of her life.
