Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Sochi's Willow Gold is Minister of Sparkles' mate. He is the king of the dragons in his cave (after the rules were changed) and is treated with an overwhelming amount of respect. He introduced banishing dragons from the land, as he realized that those who had committed crimes should not just be let off. Sochi's Willow Gold is a kind and considerate dragon and shares almost all of his possessions with the lower class dragons. He is also very protective of eggs and hatchlings.
