Considered heralds of ill fortune, Omen Wyrms are usually found in areas previously ravaged by disaster or strife, blending in amongst the foliage. Due to the unique appearance and texture of their bodies, they often pass as dead trees as they wait for unsuspecting prey. Their haunting cry—like that of a hollow-sounding horn—is a sure signal to run: it is always followed by the dragons’ furious wrath, which manifests in the form of fiery cascades. Escape from an Omen Wyrm is possible, however; it is said they will not dare follow their quarry across running water, no matter the cause of their vexation.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Though he is a foreteller of doom, that doesn't mean Echopraxia doesn't have the ability to harbor feelings for other dragons. He is not like his leader Maladroit, who is considered the epitome of perdition. Many of the breeds of Halloween dragons have an odd one out, and it just so happens that Echo is that black sheep.

Echo spends most of his time with his beautiful Chrono mate Raiila, watching and admiring how skillfully she glides through trees and uses her time magic. He loves her dearly, and she doesn't even mind that wherever he goes he leaves a small trail of destruction.

His wrath is rarely ever stoked, but only when his mate is endangered does he truly become a frightful Omen Wyrm.
