Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Golden Aushii, the daughter of Whyte Golden and Aurashi, is a very trustworthy dragon. She is good friends with Tu' Tiki'Ro, the messenger of their cave. Golden Aushii sometimes flies out from the cave and circles the top, stretching out her wings. There was a long period in which she bred with another dragon in her cave, Ra' Azurai, the blue or water dragon. Recently, Ra' Azurai decided to mate with Tu' Iyuchi—when GoldenAushii found out, she stopped mating with Ra' Azurai. She still looks after their three children, but she was previously very sad and lonely. In an attempt to cheer her up, Guardian of Summer Spiri decided to be more friendly with her and keep her happier—they are now mates, and have one child so far.
