Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chaos was raised under the most cruel dragon in Aquenee's cave, Vexen, rather than his own parents. He took a liking to his guardian's cold, insane, but inquisitive nature, and is proud to have taken on a similar persona. He is keen on finding out the endurance of other breeds, experimenting by capturing hatchlings and slowly breathing ice over them, freezing them until they simply can't take it anymore or clearly die. Chaos often thrived to earn Vexen's approval. Though, once a dragon named Judgement overthrew the cave and locked Vexen up and threw away the key, Chaos began to hate him, as he was caught up in the mess as well. He was also imprisoned for his own cruelty, despite his promises to direct his freezing experiments to non-dragon creatures instead. Although he hated every second of his imprisonment and grew to hate Vexen, he was eventually set free. Chaos is still cold-hearted, but he did as he promised and now only freezes creatures like deer and mice.
