As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Idiome's name was originally just a nickname the others came up with for him. But he loved how it sounded so much he insisted everyone call him it. Unaware of the word's true meaning.

His name might sound impressive or eloquent to the ear, especially when one says it with a French accent. But upon understanding the language, Idiome's name evokes a very...different reaction.

Idiome means idiocy, very befitting for this particular dragon. Idiome has never been known for his brains; he's even somehow managed to forget how to flap his wings mid-flight. His speech is pigeon-speak, mangled words and he'll eat just about anything: poisonous berries, nails, dirt, glass, etc. It's dumb luck he even made it to adulthood really.

In his own way, Idiome is rather sweet and there is something endearing about him. Even though his nickname seems mean-spirited, the other clan members actually, for the most part, like him. Why else would they constantly pull him out of all the messes he gets himself in.
