Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Princess Noel lives up in the mountains for most of the year, sleeping for the most of it and keeping up her strength for the journey that comes every year. Light and delicate feet bring snow with her in the morning of the winter season when she comes down from the mountains, which the Infinity clan know that it's time for Holiday celebrations to take place. Noel brings with her not only snow for hatchlings, and even playful adults, to play in, but a large amount of prey to feed the whole clan. A group then spends the rest of the day gathering herbs and other things to eat, and at the end of the day they have a feast for all to gather in peace and good tidings.

Noel is popular among the hatchlings, to who she tells stories of a dragon who brings gifts to good little dragons during the night.

When the winter season is over, Noel leaves, taking the snow and cold with her to move in for the spring and to never see her mate, Glacier, until the end of the year.
