Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Sunsongs are usually associated with good luck. Usually. But this female is associated with nothing but horror. As a young dragon, she lived a gentle life, bringing joy to the local humans through the beauty of her songs and always quick to assist with what tasks she could. But all this changed when plague broke out in the surrounding villages, leaving homes in ruins and rotting bodies marring the streets. Horrified by the devastation, she fled to another town nearby... and brought the plague with her. Chased and vilified by all those into whom she came with contact, the frightened young female unwittingly spread the disease across half a kingdom, until finally vanishing into the jungle in despair. She lives there still, a feral and frightened thing with little resemblance to the cheerful and affectionate creature she once was, her name recorded and distorted through the eras as the name of the one who brought the outbreak.
