Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mister Mephianse is a teacher at heart. He loves to share his knowledge about the Earth with other dragons. While he is serious about his teaching, he has been known to get his students involved in elaborate pranks on other adults. He keeps his role in the lives of the hatchlings strictly to that of teacher and friend, as he prefers not to be a parent-figure to hatchlings other than his own. When he's not teaching, he spends his time studying the ground and preparing lessons for the next day. While he is not fond of eating stone, he does eat the occasional rock to please Miss Kathinja, who says it's good for his health, well-ground and sprinkled over something he considers tastier.
