Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

One of Evil's unfortunate test subjects. Once, she was a beautiful Carmine, so full of life and wonder, but her name has long since been forgotten. Captured by the traitors, she was brought to Evil's cave to be used in his experiments, in the hope that his potion would forcefully turn her into a vile beast like them.

It worked, but not in the way the Almerald had hoped.

The potion took her life, rotting skin and scales before she fully succumbed, but it did not stop there. Mere moments after she passed, what was left of her stood, mindless and hungry for flesh. In an almost poetic twist, she took the lives of several traitors before finally being subdued. The Detested would've had her disposed of then and there, but Evil intervened, wishing to study the now-undead dragon and try to replicate the effect of the potion.

So now she lies shackled in the deepest part of the caves, fed on the remains of those who were like her, unfortunate victims of the traitors...
