Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Verdan would like to think he's the 'big cuddly one'—although as with any dragon cuddling him might be a little difficult. He has a tendency to place himself in the middle of the cave, sprawled over the floor, and expect everyone to work around him, and as he is so big they usually do! Verdan hasn't got a nasty bone in his body, and the only time he throws rocks about is when he's wanting to play. Of course big dragon play can get a little rough and ready at times, and the girls often have to warn him to be careful around the babies—he just doesn't seem to get that they're smaller than he is!
